We provide 100% of your training.
That's right; every Care professional at Home Instead is given full training!
Depending on the service you provide clients (Live-in care, companionship, or condition-led care), we have a full training certification process. That can include NVQ and City and Guild qualifications, as well as mini-trainings, workshops and lunch and learns.
You can choose your own career path.
Just as we provide you with all the training you need, a career with Home Instead has many options. And you get to choose your direction.
Meet Lauren, one of our rising stars in Care Management. Lauren started her career with us as a day carer, working with a handful of seniors in her local area, where a typical day included providing:
- Home help, housekeeping and meal prep
- Personal care
- Nail care
- Community transport
- Health care at home and medication monitoring
- Mental, physical and emotional well-being support
- Support for families
We provided all the tools Lauren needed, from City and Guild qualifications to hands-on workshops, and matched her with clients with the same hobbies and interests. Giving her a flexible work schedule so she could continue to care for her young family.
Lauren's hard work and genuine care for her clients have benefitted seniors who would otherwise suffer ill health, isolation, and loneliness. Her desire to progress into management was a natural next step for both of us. And she now leads a care team that matches her zest for care.
"I found Home Instead when I was looking for something flexible that would work around my children. With no previous experience in care, I was apprehensive to start with, but I was given all the friendly support and training I needed, and my confidence grew and grew. And the clients are so lovely. I looked forward to seeing them every day.
